Transporting water is a complex and energy intensive process. Utility scale  transmission lines take advantage of elevation changes to move water, resulting in high-pressure lines with uniform flows.  Lucid has drawn on its expertise to create a completely new vertical axis turbine capable of extracting the excess energy available in these transmission lines and converting it to electricity without disrupting the primary purpose of these conduits: water delivery.
