GHT's are constructed with parts designed for field assembly and efficient shipping. Additionally, they can be deconstructed to replace damaged or defective
parts. This reduces the likelihood and expense of replacing an entire
turbine. This way, any parts that are still in good condition are used in
combination with replaceable parts.
The concept of reusable products has been around for decades, but it is only recently becoming popular. Money can be saved and waste can be reduced simultaneously by utilizing these types of products. Not fixing something that isn't broken is another form of sustainable thinking.
