While each potential site for LucidPipe presents unique site conditions and costs vary depending upon the installation, Lucid is targeting projects with the following charateristics:

1. User

• Local municipality or water agency where water is flowing through large (36-96”diameter) pipes;
• Industrial facility using a high volume of water like a chemical plant, thermal electric plant, aluminum processing plant, or an irrigation district running water through large pipes

2. Velocity
Average flow velocity of 3 feet per second or greater.

3.  Head
Head pressure of 5 PSI or greater is required for the system to operate.

3. Location
Installing LucidPipe close to where the electricity is being used reduces installation costs. This is what we call “behind the meter,” meaning for internal or single facility use. Alternatively, the electricity can be fed to the grid.

4. New or Rehab Pipelines
Ideal locations include: new pipeline construction, replacement, rehabilitation, and existing pipelines with access or where access can be constructed easily.

5. Multiple Turbines
It is most economic to deploy multiple turbine systems in a pipeline. This method shares the costs of the power electronics, grid connection devices and makes LucidPipe energy projects more efficient.
