Small dams
If you live in or near a town that has a river running through it, you will likely find a causeway or an embankment designed to either divert the river's flow or create a small pond or lake. These small dams usually have a drop in water level anywhere from 1 to 4 meters in elevation. Depending on the size of the existing dam, a Lucid System could produce enough electricity to power hundreds of homes!
 
Lighted pathways
Another application for small-scale dam projects is to provide lighting for parks or walking or biking paths. Small ponds and their dams are often in places where there are trails, or where people go to walk or ride a bike after work.  A moderately sized dam could light miles of trail!
